Oh, Declan. I don't even know where to start. I cannot even believe you've been in my arms for half of a year. You've grown so much. You've gone from a 7 pound 5 oz newborn to an 18 pound six month old! We are so in love with you. I forget what our lives were like before we had you. Many people say that they miss their live's before they had kids but I don't miss that life one bit! I am so glad you're here in my arms because you've filled my life with so much joy! I never want to forget these days with you. Lets reflect on the last six months.
In the past six months you have gained about 11 pounds and grew six inches. You have learned to roll, babble, blow raspberries, sit up unassisted, give kisses, and eat like a big boy! You have a love for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and most recently you've become fond of an Eeyore plush toy. You love the Bobby Beetcut CD that Mama Dani got you, your favorite song is Funky Monkey. That song can stop you from crying the second I turn it on in the car. You can drink out of a straw and you still love to nurse. 6 months, and not even a drop of formula! You have been to 11 different states (MA, CT, RI, NY, NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, NC, and FL), spending countless hours in the car and going on a ton of different airplanes. You handled all the traveling so well! You love every dog that you meet and you especially love when they give you lots of kisses! You have overcome your first cold and ear infection that broke mommy's heart but you handled it well. Oh boy how smart you are, I can't even imagine what you will do one day with such a smart head on your shoulders!
